The best little beach bar in Fernandina beach is Sliders Seaside Grill. Fernandina Beach, also known as Amelia Island, is as far north as you can go in Florida. It is a cute little town and has just a few beach bars.
Slider's recently underwent a renovation which has only made it an even better beach bar. You can access the outside area from the side of the building or walk through the restaurant out to the tiki bar located on the beach. Did you know you can drive on Fernandina Beach? Sliders is a great oceanfront tiki bar in Fernandina Beach and is a classic and true Florida beach bar.
The upstairs has been totally revamped and there is a huge indoor bar and lots of inside and outside seating. For the best view of the beach, you will want to sit on the balcony upstairs. On the ground level, there are many tables with umbrellas placed on the grass. The tiki bar is close by and so is the bandstand.
Choose a table with an umbrella and you will have a view of the ocean, good food and live music. There is a lot of live music scheduled, and it does vary with the season. Season this far north starts in the springtime. The crowd was young and lively and enjoying the music. The food was good with a Caribbean flair.
The wait staff is efficient and has a good sense of humor. The strawberry shortcake recommended by our cheery waitress was worth the extra calories. Order a Sliders Punch and enjoy the music, a delicious burger and be glad you are at a Florida beach bar.
