Overview

The Tiki Bar at the Lighthouse Resort is one of the best kept secrets in Ft. Myers Beach. We are glad we found it. Sure, we drove by it a lot, but when we finally stopped in we were pleasantly surprised. Well, maybe not all that surprised because we could tell it looked like a "way cool" bar when we drove by.

This tiki bar is tucked away under and around the Lighthouse Resort and is bigger than you might think it is. The food is good, the drinks are cold and the bartenders are quick and friendly. As a matter of interest, The Lighthouse Resort withstood the ravages of Hurricane Charlie in 2004 and was the first hotel to reopen after the storm. In 2005, Hurricane Wilma set it sights on Ft. Myers again. Fox News set up camp at the hotel and with the use of their generators the tiki bar was able to stay open all night. What a great place for a hurricane party, indeed!!

The tiki bar was originally a bbq pit and a picnic table, and it has grown to the great bar it is today. This bar quickly shot to the top of our favorites list. This Florida beach bar is very popular and has some great happy hour specials. The crowd is lively. There is live music and a whole bunch of people having a great time. Plan your visit accordingly. We have never been to this tiki bar when it hasn't been busy.
