Jimmy Von Hubertzo fought long and hard with Sarasota County to reopen his Tiki Bar at the Casey Key Fish House after it was destroyed by fire from a lightning strike. The Casey Key Fish House and Tiki Bar brings a laid back old-Florida atmosphere to Casey Key. You can come by car or by boat and enjoy great food, fun and music.
This tiki bar was out of business temporarily when some nearby locals complained about the live music. Then there were some code issues. But the owner and the patrons fought hard for their Florida beach bar. We're happy, the patrons are happy.
This Florida beach bar is popular and fun. Casey Key Fish House features local bands on the weekends and draws a great crowd. On a beautiful day this waterfront beach bar was packed with folks just looking for a good time and the ultimate Florida experience. We brought a friend from Ohio with us, and it didn't take him long to catch on to the Florida beach bar lifestyle. He was happy to thaw out, and get a glimpse of how much fun it is to live in Florida.
The crowd is a mix of all ages and walks of life, but like any great Florida beach bar you can make friends with them all and share stories and a few laughs. We chatted it up with all the people around us. They came from areas as far away as Cape Cod to just down the street.
This Florida beach bar is also dog friendly. The dogs also come in all shapes and sizes. This Florida beach bar also has a little beach area. There are comfy chairs on the beach. This beach area provides a great place to relax and watch the dogs romp in the waves. On the weekends at 4:00 p.m. you can catch great live bands playing your favorite music.
We enjoyed a great dinner at the restaurant. There is no food service at the tiki bar, but when you are ready to eat just wander over to the restaurant. Plan ahead as the restaurant draws its own crowd and you may have to wait a bit for a table.
The Casey Key Fish House has a perfect tiki bar, and you will have a great time there. Enjoy. This is a Florida Beach Bar favorite.
