Overview
Sand on the Beach Bar and Grill is located smack dab on the beach in Melbourne Beach. Turn the corner on Ocean Blvd. and you can't miss this charming beach bar.
Two stories of beach bar can't be all bad and it isn't. They open for lunch at 11:00 AM, but if you want to go for breakfast you can go Monday through Friday at 8:00 AM. Happy hour is 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM Monday through Friday.
We spent a few enjoyable hours on a Sunday afternoon sitting at the bar overlooking the beach. Bloody Mary's are on special on Sundays. Add a plate of shrimp and a live Jimmy Buffett Tribute Band, and you have a great afternoon. There is live music on Thursday nights, Saturday nights and Sunday afternoons.
For a special treat, there is live music during the full moon. From the second story bar you can watch the people frolic on the beach. Surfers and sunbathers alike were having a great time.
