Overview

The Schooner Wharf Bar is located on the water in Key West and spans two buildings. It features a second-floor deck with a beautiful view of the classic yachts of Key West's historic seaport. It has been voted Best Local's Bar six years in a row and featured in publications including the New York Times and Aqua magazine.

Schooner Wharf is the ending point for some of the Conch Republic Independence celebrations events. The World's Longest Parade ends up there and the Victory Party after the great battle takes place there. There are other great events that take place each year, and Schooner's is the place to be if you want to be apart of the action. There seems to be some sort of event happening monthly.

This is an open air restaurant and Florida beach bar that offers nautical decor, great music and good food. Its location in the harbor creates an atmosphere far different than the Duval Street bars, There is live entertainment daily from noon until 1:00 AM. Food offerings include fresh stone crab claws, peel-and-eat shrimp, fresh-shucked oysters, and conch chowder and conch fritters.

We try to catch Michael McCloud on all our visits. He has been performing at the bar for 18 years. His laid back, old Hippie style and commentary are entertaining and funny. Schooner Wharf is one of Key West's best Florida beach bars.

Schooner Wharf has the perfect beach bar atmosphere and great music. We love this bar!
