Overview

Coppola's Bar and Grille at Sebastian Beach Inn is a terrific Florida beach bar in Melbourne Beach. We were so happy to find this Florida beach bar. True beach bars in Florida are hard to find. Sebastian Beach Inn is right on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean. The waves come thundering in, and this is awesome to hear and see.

We almost missed this Florida beach bar. We were driving north on A1A in search of Florida beach bars, and we weren't finding many. Then, out of the blue, we saw the sign for Sebastian Beach Inn. We pulled in, and we were pleasantly surprised.

The band was playing classic rock from the 70's, our favorite. We ordered some nachos which were amazingly good for nachos and a frozen drink. We were happy to be at this Florida beach bar.

The Sebastian Beach Inn has some interesting history, and it is housed in Brevard County's last remaining coastal watch stations that served dating back to World War II. During the late 1960's and 1970's the Bahama Mama was the house drink. It became a legend for this Florida beach bar. If you could drink 3 of these drinks, you could write your name on the wall. The wall was covered with names from floor to ceiling. My cousin claims his name is on that wall. Probably covered over by now but it is under there somewhere.

This area of the Florida coastline is known as the "Treasure Coast" because of all the treasure ships that were lost along these shores. We think Coppola's Bar and Grille is one of Florida's best treasures and a classic Florida beach bar.
