 Racing's North Turn ranks number 4 on FloridaBeachBar.com's Top 10 Florida Beach Bars for both 2011 and 2012. It's a unique and fun place that combines a beach bar, automobile racing, and history into one of the most unique beach bars in Florida.
How fun is it to go to a great beach bar that has an interesting and exciting history? Starting in 1936, the brave and adventuresome started racing cars on Daytona Beach. The races took a break during WWII, but continued until 1958 when they built the Super Speedway of today. The restaurant is located right on the beach and right at the north turn. Cars would come down the beach just north of the restaurant; they would then turn and go up Atlantic Avenue. There are pictures throughout the bar to commemorate this event.
But as a Florida beach bar, it ranks a 5 Flamingo rating. Racing's North Turn is honored to be called a beach bar. Sure, there is the racing history but Racing's North Turn is a true Florida Beach Bar. It has what we look for in a great Florida beach bar. It's on the beach. You can walk up to it from the beach. They provide a shower area for cleaning off your feet before entering.

has music during the day on weekends and every night of the week starting at 6 PM, the perfect time to leave the beach for your dinner and cocktails. Racing’s North Turn features a large bar, big stage, and plenty of room for dancing. The food is good and drinks are cold.

The owners, Walter and Rhonda Glasnak,are wonderful and love their bar just as much as you will. Everyone is friendly and nice and so proud to be one of Florida's Top 10 Beach Bars. We just don't see how you could possibly go to Racing’s North Turn and not have a wonderful time. This Florida beach bar is the perfect place for learning some local history and making some longtime memories.
