 Bongos Beach Bar and Grille is a 2012 and 2013 Top 10 Florida Beach Bar that is located at the Grand Plaza Hotel. This Florida Beach Bar is situated right on St. Pete Beach offering a true "toes in the sand" beach bar experience. Bongos
takes great pride in its perfection of creating over 200 fresh frozen tropical drinks. If you can think of a new drink, they will be happy to make it for you.
Bongos Beach Bar is open 7 days a week from 11:00 AM to 2:00 AM, rain or shine.
The hallmark of this Florida Beach Bar is its super friendly staff and its beach location. You are not near the beach, you are right on it. Bongos has umbrella shaded tables that sit in an island of palm trees offering a unique beachy experience. There's even a pool nearby that's open to bar visitors. So, you can beat the heat by either taking a cool dip or ordering a cool one from the bar.
 Bongo's has several levels of deck that provide different areas and sections in which to enjoy this great atmosphere in the middle of Paradise. There are waterfall tables and couches. There is a long and beautiful wall of fire that is wonderful for chilly days or cooler nights. Baby Bongos, pictured to the right, is a new bar that is levels above the others. Umbrellas shield this bar from the sun during the day but at night, the umbrellas are lifted up to offer beautiful views of the moon and stars. Tiki torches warm the atmosphere during the night as well.
We were delighted to share some great Bongo's food. Coconut Rum Chicken Skewers and the Sunset Trio satisfied our appetite and were attractively presented. All the while we were listening to Carlos and Joe play their fantastic music. We can't wait to go back again.
Live bands keep the beach bar crowd
entertained every day of the week twice a day from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Check Bongo's web site for specific bands and dates. Food is served daily until 11:00 PM.
