Blu Que Island Grill is located near the center of the Village of Siesta Key. Blu Que really is more of a restaurant than a Florida beach bar, but they have music almost everyday, and they have liquor. Works for us. Blu Que is also walking distance to a Siesta Key beach access. The wide expanse of porch allows for lots of covered outdoor seating. Good food, music, bars, outdoor seating fits a lot of our criteria for Florida beach bars . Blue Que was formerly known as Blu Smoke Island Grill. They changed their name to avoid confusion with other similarly named establishments throughout the country.
This Florida beach bar features some of the best bands in Sarasota. Everytime we visit they do have live music. Live music is the best. Just walking by Blu Que you will likely hear a band playing and get drawn in for at least a drink or two. Blue Que know what the locals want in a good beach bar and the visitors to Paradise always find the good places.
Blu Que offers smoked infused cuisine featuring hardwood grilled favorites cooked low and slow over hickory and apple wood. Combine this with a nice wine, salad and some great music and you have the makings for a wonderful evening. Try a pulled pork sandwich for lunch and you will be happy.
Blu Que Island Grill has happy hour all day everyday and daily specials. It doesn't get much better than this Siesta Key Florida beach bar in paradise.
